In the Medicine department I was given the task to develop a logo for the Bourque lab.
I found this a big challenge since I don't have knowledge in Computational Genomics, transposal elements
Which is what the lab focuses in. First I spoke to a student of the lab who gave me some good suggestions.
Maybe I should create what the lab does? transposal elements.
Here is my breakdown of my process:
- 1. Doodle for a few hours
- 2. Create digital versions in Illustrator
- 3. Once I have a direction, I start making variations
- 4. Then I refined the idea more and add colours
